Soon your customers will be able to quickly and securely check out from your online store using Safari on the iPhone, iPad, and Mac by simply tapping the Apple Pay button and scanning their fingerprint.

All Shopify stores, in every country in the world will have the ability to accept Apple Pay at no extra cost. You can enable Apple Pay if you’re using Shopify Payments or these other payment gateways: Stripe, Braintree, FirstData Payeezy, Authorize.Net, or CyberSource.

How is this different from Apple Pay today?

Right now, shoppers can use Apple Pay to buy from retail stores and in some apps, but when they shop on mobile websites they’re still left typing their payment details on a tiny, virtual keyboard.

Today’s announcement means shoppers will be able to use Apple Pay instead, making checkout lightning fast, painless, and maybe even enjoyable—like buying things should be!

How will this help mobile conversion rates?

It’s no secret that checking out on a phone can be frustrating. Apple Pay is designed to make the checkout experience amazing!

Enabling Apple Pay for your online store is another way for you to simplify and speed up your checkout, giving your customers a better checkout experience while also boosting your conversion rate.
