Use personalized links to avoid Etsy recommended items on your shop pages

Etsy Tips4

Using this little trick you can get rid of the Etsy recommended products on your shop pages.

Use personalized links to avoid Etsy recommended items on your shop pages

Etsy's currently running an experiment to enhance the buyer experience on the site. When some shoppers come to Etsy from an external source (such as a search engine or a social media post), they may see recommended items from various shops on listing pages.

Sharing a link without recommended listings

To avoid this you can create a personalized link for your item by adding your shop name to the listing's URL. When a shopper clicks on this link, they'll see your listing without recommendations. For example, let's say you want to share this listing on your Facebook page: https://www.etsy.com/listing/12345689/ You would share this updated link instead: https://www.etsy.com/yourshopname/listing/12345689/

Seller Tools already implemented and rolled out code changes to make sure you share your personalized URLs using Seller Tools services. Please don't forget to make sure you share your personalized links when you use other social media services or share your products manually.
